A native of Washington, DC, Krista has been painting since childhood. She is largely self-taught, constantly studying old masters and refining her approach. Her natural curiosity for the natural world sparks new ways to view it and fresh perspectives on how to translate that onto canvas.
Though Krista's work includes many different subjects and styles, portraiture remains her first love. Each portrait is special; the reward for bringing forth the emotional quality that makes us unique is supremely satisfying for her.
